An excellent assistance in achieving corporate responsibility.

―――What brought you to start using Teachme Biz?

Before using Teachme Biz, we gave instructions verbally, and sometimes it was not correct. Even when we had manuals, they were paper-based. So, we had problems such as manuals were not updated, could not be seen, hard to read, and we did not know where they were at.

For these reasons, we could not follow the Cabtec’s code of conduct called “SLQDC” “Safety (Safety and Health), Law (Comply with the law, Compliance, Environment), Quality (Quality and Trust), Delivery (Timing), and Cost”.

But as a corporate, without a work standard, staff cannot do the job and production problems cannot be solved. We have been using Teachme Biz already in Japan, so I wanted to bring it to Thailand as well. Teachme Biz is also a perfect choice for achieving this corporate responsibility.

On top of that, it was surprising that the running cost is affordable. The installation cost is also attractive. So, I went for it right away.

Control quality by reflecting the analysis of the causes of problems into manuals.

―――What kind of manual do you plan on making?

At Cabtec, we use “Machine-based production’s 4M (Man, Machine, Method, Material) ” and our original “3H (Hajimete: Work done for the first time, Henka: Work that has been changed, Hisashiburi: Work rarely done)” to analyze the causes of problems and take measure. If we could put these important points about quality and safety into the manual, staff can learn their job and grow faster.

Later on, we want to expand the usage to office work as well. Via communication with Cabtec Japan, who has already been using Teachme Biz, we want to broaden our perspective and make good products together.

Staff keep an eye on the manuals to ensure it is always updated!

―――How was it after started using Teachme Biz?

Currently, Qualica Co., Ltd., who is supporting us with the overall system, is helping us making work standards. Around 600 manuals were created by only 3 people. Apart from them, anyone can also access the manuals via personal mobile phones. And since many people in Thailand are interested in ICT and the percentage of mobile phone users is high, that is why Thai people can take Teachme Biz in naturally.

To be honest, we cannot see the result with our eyes yet. But Teachme Biz has really built the communication and created the awareness towards work improvement. Thus, Teachme Biz already has a meaning for that.

But since we already welcomed Teachme Biz to our corporate, we will not let the manuals turn out just like “old newspapers”. Right now we are having 50 people or 100 eyes of users checking and keeping them updated at all times.

Pass Cabtec’s DNA on to the world and to the future.

―――Please tell us your goal from now on.

It has been a year since I was appointed to Thailand. I have been taking an action on the concept of 3C (Change, Challenge, Communication). And improving local staff’s skills by sharing Japanese know-how of “visual” manuals.

However, for Change and Challenge, I encountered a big wall of cultural differences. For communication as well, I want it to go a step further. In 2020, I hope to improve staff’s ability to think thoroughly.

Of course I know it takes years to achieve these goals. What I am aiming for is the management that we can see what is ahead of us. And, the production team that can think, judge, and use 3C to improve quality on their own. I want to use Teachme Biz to increase the corporate value.
